Activating +StoryMD Health

Elevate your StoryMD account by activating your +StoryMD Health subscription.

Sign up to +StoryMD Health via the 'Explore +StoryMD Health' button in the main menu. Click the button when prompted to start your free 30-day trial. If you already have a free account with StoryMD you can subscribe to +StoryMD Health via the button to start the free trial on the Explore +StoryMD page.

Conveniently access all your wearable and electronic health record (EHR) data in one place. All connected devices create live updates to your timeline and dashboard as new data becomes available.

You may have your health data stored in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) at your hospital or clinic. Let +StoryMD Health do the work of importing and translating those records so that you can start understanding your personal health journey better than ever before. +StoryMD Health checks and imports any new data available in your EHR. Each piece of your personal data, i.e., Lab results, Allergies, Medications, Conditions, Procedures and Vaccines will be auto translated with an explanation as to what results mean by StoryMD’s proprietary AI StoryBlock technology.

Access the connections menu at the left of the screen on desktop or at the bottom of your mobile device screen. Click on ‘Add health account’ to open the list of accessible hospitals and clinics. You can scroll the list or search by hospital name to find your EHR. Clicking ‘Connect’ will open a new window where you will be asked to login to your hospital account to grant permission to +StoryMD. All of your data can then be synced to your +StoryMD Health account safely and securely.

Personal health technology is advancing at a rapid pace. From continuous glucose monitors and home blood pressure cuffs to the wide variety of smart watches on the market, Personal Health Devices are a big part of how we understand our personal health stories.

We can directly import selected health data from personal health devices through the connections menu located at the left on desktop or at the bottom of your mobile device screen. Select ‘Add wearable or app’ to open the list of available smart device connections. You can then scroll or search by brand name to find your device. Clicking ‘Connect’ will open a new window where you will need to authorize StoryMD to access your information. We can then sync your wearable data safely and securely. It can take several minutes for the syncing to complete.

We are working on integration with Apple. In the meantime You can import your data from Apple Health via another app by syncing Apple Health to an app we support, such as Withings or Fitbit.

1. Download Withings app on your iphone.

2. Create an account and log in to Withings.

3. On the home page, tap Activate Apple Health.

5. Tap Turn on all categories and allow.

8. In the connection modal window, find Withings from the list and click connect.

6. Go to +StoryMD Health, tap connections, then tap Add wearable or app.

7. Search for Withings and tap Connect.
   

8. You will be redirected to Withings to complete the connection process. Sign in to Withings and allow StoryMD to access your data.
   

9. You will be taken back to +StoryMD Health. Wait for several minutes for the syncing to complete and you are connected! You may do other things while it’s syncing.

Your health is dynamic and may change day to day. Tracking changes in body measurements such as body weight or symptoms such as pain can be useful on a daily basis and not be imported from your EHR or wearable devices. We offer a manual entry option that allows you to add anything to your patient portal, even if it’s just a note on how you are feeling.

To make a manual entry, click on the ‘+Add’ button at the top of your screen and select the category you wish to add. Search for the correct item in the search field or add a custom entry. Custom entries won’t be connected to supporting information from our library. Complete the form with results, dates, notes, tags, and any attachments you want to add and click ‘Save.’

Your timeline is like the newsfeed of your personal health, with individual entries for each update sent from your EHR, wearable devices, and items you have added manually. You will find entries for activities, allergies, conditions, measurements, procedures, symptoms, tests and lab panels, and vaccinations. Each card will have the date it was added to your timeline (posted date) and the date of the procedure/test/vaccination (effective date). Your timeline is ordered by the posted date.

Editing and Filtering your Timeline

You’ll notice that each entry has a menu button in the top right corner. You have the option to edit, delete, or in some cases add the information to your dashboard. You can edit your entries to add any personal notes or tags to help filter your timeline.

You can filter your timeline by selecting one or more of the filters at the top of your screen on desktop or opening the filter menu on mobile.

• The tags filter will show any tags that have been either automatically added by StoryMD or your personal tags. This is a great way to sort and collect related entries for quick viewing.

• The date filter allows you to select any recent period or a custom date range if you want to view entries from a specific time in the past.

• The categories you can filter by are all the types of entries mentioned above: activities, allergies, conditions, measurements, procedures, symptoms, tests and lab panels, and vaccinations.

• The last filter is source. Here you can choose to view by wearable device, EHR, or manual entry.

Your dashboard holds all of your health trends and presents them to you in easy to read, color-coded charts. You’ll see that there is a favorites sections at the top of the screen. This is where you can add your most important tests so that you can access them without sorting through the rest of your dashboard.

Explore Your Dashboard Cards

The rest of your dashboard has smaller cards in a grid. These are lists of your conditions, procedures, and allergies, as well as cards for each of your tests, lab panels, and symptoms. When you have more than one result on a small card you will see a small chart with up to ten results shown. Our aim is to ensure that everything in your dashboard is linked back to our library so that you can fully understand your health. Click on ‘Understand this topic’ to access the relevant library material.

Deep Dive Into the Details

You can quickly view your trends on the top level dashboard screen, but there will be times that you want to dive deeper into your historical results. Clicking on a card will take you to a detailed view of that card. For tests you will see a larger chart with the healthy reference range highlighted in green. Hovering your mouse over each point on the chart will give details of that entry.

Below the chart you have links to the library supporting materials and a table of all past entries. The table shows relevant flags, result values, dates, and has options to edit, delete, or view the individual timeline entries.

Customize Your Dashboard

Your EHR and wearable results will be automatically added to your dashboard. Adding additional cards can be done by clicking on the ‘Add a card’ tile located at the bottom of your dashboard or clicking on ‘+Add’ at the top and selecting ‘Add a card.’ Choose the card you want to add in the pop up and click ‘Done.’ You can also add to your dashboard from the menu on an individual timeline card. You only have to do this once and the dashboard will have all previous values and continue to update that chart with future entries.

Each dashboard card also has a menu. Depending on the card you may see up to four options:

• Add to favorites: Click this to add this test to your favorites card. You can add up to ten tests to favorites.

• Remove from favorites: You will see this option if this test is already in your favorites card. Clicking here will remove it.

• Move: Select this to rearrange the cards on your dashboard. This will allow you to drag and drop all the cards to arrange the dashboard however you prefer.

• Remove: This removes the card from your dashboard, but it does not remove any of the data. You can always add the card again via the ‘Add a card’ button.

• Add a value: This is a shortcut to manually add another value for this test or symptom.

Managing your account can be done in the account settings. Click on your profile image in the top right of the screen to access your account settings. Select ‘+StoryMD Health Subscription and Settings’ to see the settings associated with your subscription.

Click ‘Manage your subscription’ to find options for canceling your subscription or updating your payment information. Canceling after the end of your free trial will result in being charged for your subscriptions. We do not offer refunds at this time.

How to Enable and Disable Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) keeps your account safe and secure. We currently support two factor authentication through third party apps Google Authenticator and FreeOTP.

To enable 2FA go to your account settings and select ‘StoryMD Health settings and subscription’ and scroll to the 2FA section. Click the toggle switch to enable 2FA. You will have to log out and log back in to continue the setup process. To disable 2FA go to the same section in your account settings and click the toggle switch to turn it off.
