Tietze Syndrome
Chondropathia Tuberosa; Costochondral Junction Syndrome
Tietze syndrome is a rare musculoskeletal condition that causes chest pain and cartilage swelling near the upper ribs. It is characterized by tenderness and painful swelling of the anterior (front) chest wall at the costochondral (rib to cartilage), sternocostal (cartilage to sternum), or sternoclavicular (clavicle to sternum) junctions.
